Essentia video celebrates 30 years of Drinde™

essentiapngIngredients specialist Essentia Protein Solutions has launched a new video to mark 30 years of its successful Drinde™ functional pork protein brand.

Titled ‘The story of Drinde™,’ the new video goes behind the scenes to explain what Drinde™ is, how it is made from 100 per cent natural pork and why it is a convenient meat ingredient for food manufacturers and processors.

Drinde™ is proven to help improve texture, flavour and nutritional value in meat based products such as sausages, sausage rolls, pork pies, ham and sprinkles.

It is approved by the Food Standards Agency for use as a meat ingredient, whilst helping to reduce recipe costs.

The video features scenes of Drinde™ being manufactured at Essentia’s UK operation in Tipton, West Midlands, which has recently been awarded the BRC Global Standard for Food Safety for the 22nd consecutive year.

Essentia retained the highest grade AA in the dried foods and ingredients, and raw prepared product categories.
And new for this year, Essentia has successfully passed an additional Voluntary Module VM11 which provides assurance to customers on Essentia’s meat supply chain.

Equally, Essentia has successfully renewed its BQAP (British Quality Assured Pork) accredited status for the tenth year running, for its natural Drinde™ brand.
