queen s award ishida logoWeighing and packing equipment specialist Ishida Europe has extended its range of solutions for poultry, meat and fish packaging with the addition to its equipment portfolio of a unique system that improves yields and efficiencies in the packing of fresh food pieces.

The new RobotGrader combines weighing and pick and place technologies to grade products of varying weight and pack them to a fixed weight straight into the tray.  The system reduces giveaway to less than 1% per pack and can correctly place and orientate the pieces, at speeds of up to 320 pieces per minute.

VIV Turkey 2015 Hosted The Global Poultry Industry

viv turkey 2015The meeting of the poultry industry in Turkey, VIV TURKEY 2015 opened its doors to the trade visitors for the seventh time in Hall 9-10-11 of Istanbul Expo Center with an additional professional tent outside the fairground. This year’s fair attracted 512 exhibitors, with 153 from Turkey and 359 from abroad, as they presented their newest products and services for three days.

VIV TURKEY was officially opened following the speeches of Deputy Secretary of Republic of Turkey Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock Mehmet Hadi Tunç, Prof. Dr. Rüveyde Akbay, President of World’s Poultry Science Association (WPSA) Turkish branch and Bekir Çakıcı, General Manager of HKF Trade Fairs. Additionally Deputy General Director of Republic of Turkey Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock Burhan Demirok and Istanbul Provincial Director Hamit Aygül and other related association presidents were also present at the opening ceremony.

Denmark-based compound feed manufacturer Aller Aqua has achieved GLOBALG.A.P. Certification for all its production facilities in Europe. The company, which exports to more than 50 countries worldwide, now complies with the GLOBALG.A.P. Compound Feed Manufacturing Standard, not only for its factory in Denmark, but also for its factories in Germany and Poland (GGN 4052852174015, 4056186205858, 4056186205872).

In a statement issued in a press release, the company stated the benefits of GLOBALG.A.P. Certification for its business: “Aller Aqua’s GLOBALG.A.P. Certificate shows our customers that we consider sustainability and welfare for animals and humans in every step of the production process in order to produce our high quality feeds."

Three Successful Days at Seafood Expo Global/Seafood Processing Global: The World's Largest Seafood Trade Event

seafoodexpo globalThe 23rd edition of Seafood Expo Global and the 17th edition of Seafood Processing Global, produced by Diversified Communications, took place at the BRUSSELS EXPO 21-23 April 2015. Together, the event covered 36,063 m², making it a record-breaking year and the largest meeting place in the world for seafood professionals. Over the three days, 26,652 seafood professionals and decision-makers from 144 countries gathered in Brussels to review global innovations and intelligent solutions to meet consumer demands. 

Expanding this year into Hall 8, Seafood Expo Global/Seafood Processing Global welcomed 1,761 exhibitors from 72 countries, including 66 national and regional pavilions. The exhibiting companies displayed a variety of seafood products, both fresh and frozen, sourced from aquaculture and fishing, along with services relating to marine products, transportation, refrigerated logistics and packaging equipment.
