At Food Tech Warsaw 2025, Bettcher Industries Inc. a member of the Fortifi Food Processing Solutions Group and headquartered in Ohio, USA, will present three ground-breaking products: the Quantum Flex® Trimmer for meat trimming, the compact Whizard Versa™ Trimmer ideal for chicken thigh deboning, and the Cyclone Skinner to optimise skinning and defatting. These innovative tools set new standards in terms of flexibility, ergonomics and sustainability and offer users in the meat industry optimum solutions that enable efficient work.
Quantum Flex® Trimmer – lighter, safer, more efficient
Bettcher’s Quantum Flex® Trimmer delivers an innovative, high-performance cutting tool which increases yield. Due to its unique flex technology, this device adapts dynamically to different meat textures and thus achieves a consistently high cutting quality. The weight of the tool has been reduced by a further 15 percent to improve ergonomic handling, thereby significantly reducing the strain on operating personnel when using the trimmer. In addition, the safety mechanism with automatically retractable blades and non-slip handles offers greater protection at the workplace. Another highlight of the trimmer series is the simplified maintenance: no adjustment is required after a blade change. This minimises production downtime.
Whizard Versa™ Trimmer – a compact solution for smaller businesses
Bettcher developed the Whizard Versa™ Trimmer specifically for smaller businesses such as butchers and snack bars. The compact tool is ideal for chicken thigh deboning, slicing gyro meat and for a wide range of trimming, boning and cutting tasks. Thanks to the innovative Twist-N-Go head technology, the Whizard Versa™ Trimmer can instantly swap between applications. Its multi-speed function and interchangeable heads offer users a high degree of flexibility. With its user-friendly handling and energy-efficient design, the device is a cost-effective solution for businesses with smaller production volumes.
Cyclone Skinner – precise control, quiet operation
The electric Cyclone Skinner optimises skinning and defatting in meat processing. It is characterised by high performance and virtually silent operation. Its wide cutting path enables precise control of the cutting thickness. The innovative toothed roller and flexible side plates minimise raw material losses. The Cyclone Skinner is the quietest device in its class (<77 dB(A)). Its one-handed operation simplifies handling. The low-maintenance design reduces costs and increases the availability of the tool.
Quantum Flex® TrimVac – safe disposal of high-risk material
The Quantum Flex TrimVac ensures safe and efficient removal of high-risk material during slaughtering. Its fast-rotating circular blade works with a vacuum system to precisely extract spinal cord tissue and internal fat from hard-to-reach areas. Developed by Bettcher, the closed system inside the QF TrimVac, protects the user from possible contaminants as it allows this material to be suctioned off during removal. With its modern, ergonomic design, the TrimVac enables faster, more precise processing, improves yield, and offers easy, comfortable handling for operators.
Edge Management technology for precision and efficiency
To maintain blade performance, Bettcher offers the AutoEdge Blade Sharpener, designed to restore blades to their original factory edge with precision, consistency and minimal effort. Using controlled grinding, it achieves optimum sharpness while removing as little material as possible, helping extend blade life. The self-sharpening wheel requires no dressing and lasts significantly longer than standard grinding wheels. A quick-load collet system holds blades securely in place for accurate sharpening, while the automatic process reduces the chance of operator error and ensures uniform results every time.
Customer Support – helping international customers overcome unique challenges
Bettcher’s local experts across Europe work closely with customers to ensure they have the right tools for their specific production needs. Pawel Czarnynoga, Sales Manager for Poland, highlights the importance of this personalized approach: “Our customers face a wide range of challenges, and that’s why we focus on understanding each operational process individually,” Pawel says. “There are no standard applications, we visit facilities, analyse their processes, and then recommend the most effective tools for their needs. Whether the priority is improving product yield, reducing operator fatigue or simplifying maintenance routines, our objective is always the same: to provide solutions that deliver real, measurable value on the production floor.”
