The Problem 

RS Industria has partnered with a leading UK-based food producer to help protect the welfare of its animals by maintaining uptime.

With facilities operating 364 days a year and one of its poultry processing lines in use 24/7, avoiding downtime is critical, and any maintenance needs to be planned well in advance. To ensure continued productivity, the customer wanted greater transparency of the performance and reliability of its production lines. 

The Solution

The Results

Within days of implementing RS Industria, insight showed issues with key components that, left unseen or unremedied, could have had a catastrophic effect on production.

Had a broken input pinion remained unseen, the fault would have led to gearbox failure and a minimum of two hours of downtime at a cost of £1000+ plus parts.

With warning alerts triggering immediate investigation, the customer’s engineers were able to carry out data-informed maintenance and avert costly and lengthy downtime, saving thousands of pounds in the process.
