Korozo Group signs up to support Meat Business Women
International flexible packaging solutions specialist Korozo Group has signed up as a Supporting Partner of Meat Business Women, the United Nations-recognised global professional community for women working across the meat industry.
Meat Business Women was founded in 2015. The organisation was established to enhance the sustainability of the meat industry and to grow the pipeline of female talent in this traditionally male-dominated field, within an industry that is today valued in the region of $1.4 trillion globally.
The organisation also recognises that there is a perception issue around working in the meat industry. Meat Business Women aims to transform this perception and ensure the meat industry is seen as a place to build a fulfilling career, regardless of gender.
The organisation's Membership Marketing Manager, Rebecca Fearon, further noted that Meat Business Women provides various resources and tools to aid professional development and support women in reaching their career goals within the industry.
"Our partners and members transcend the entire supply chain and we are delighted to work with them all to ensure a strong pipeline of women coming into the industry. For businesses, we provide support at key drop-off points to help them nurture and support female employees throughout their careers. Working with Korozo Group perfectly illustrates what we are doing to ensure this continues, so that both women and male allies are able to reap the rewards this brings to the talent pool."
Becoming a Supporting Partner gives Korozo Group access to the full breadth of Meat Business Women's support tools and services, such as employee resources, mentoring, masterclasses, and representation in global industry-wide campaigns.
Hande Sari, Commercial Director, UK & Ireland, at Korozo Group, said: "I am very excited to be part of Meat Business Women and am looking forward to seeing the positive outcomes of this partnership."
Irem Altinay, Field Sales Manager Food Flexibles, UK & Ireland at Korozo Group, added: "I am thrilled to join Meat Business Women as a Supporting Partner, as it aligns perfectly with Korozo Group's commitment to inclusivity and career development."
