The medal winners in 2024's World Steak Challenge have been announced, with a grand total of 333 medals overall and 112 gold medals awarded to delicious steaks from across the globe, judged to be the 'best of the best'.
This year, one country stood out as a beacon of quality with the largest total of gold medals awarded at the event.
Australia was awarded a total of 21 gold medals, the most given to any country.
Australian producers included in this year's gold list are BV Carnimex, HANCOCK AGRICULTURE, Jack's Creek, Stone Axe Pastoral Company, Teys Australia Pty Ltd and Thomas Foods International.
All 112 gold medal winners will now be invited to a dazzling awards ceremony on 11th November, where the winners in each category will be announced, along with the coveted title of World's Best Steak 2024.
Stephen Edwards Business Manager UK of Meat & Livestock Australia, the custodians the Aussie Beef & Lamb brand which promotes Australian red meat in the UK said:
"Australia is in an excellent position ahead of the World Steak Challenge awards ceremony, and we'd like to wish all our producers the best of luck for the final reveal in November. We're extremely excited to see which steak comes out on top, fingers crossed it's an Aussie one.
"Of course, last year an Australian steak from producer Jack's Creek won the overall title of World's Best Steak, so here's hoping we can do it again for the second year running.
"We know that Australian red meat is top quality and having been based here in the UK for a couple of years, we're enjoying the feedback we get from retail and foodservice professionals on the premium quality, consistency and superb taste of our red meat."
"Being recognised with the most gold medals is confirmation of that, and a reflection of the quality of steak coming from Australia, which we're delighted to be able to promote to retail buyers, chefs, restauranteurs and hospitality professionals here in the UK."
