Aberdeen-Angus Cattle Society launch national recipe competition

aberdeen angusThe Aberdeen-Angus Cattle Society launch a national search for the most delicious family recipes featuring much loved Aberdeen-Angus beef.

The competition is being judged by critically acclaimed chef Tom Lewis, head chef and owner of the Mhor portfolio of hotels and specialist food stores, who will whittle down the list of entrants to the top five and crown the winner of the ‘countries best Aberdeen-Angus beef recipe’ who will receive a £500 Marks & Spencer voucher.

Chef Tom Lewis, said; “I have lived on a working farm all of my life and have been professionally cooking now for over 20 years. If there is one product in all my travels around the world that has been a sign of quality, it has to be Aberdeen Angus beef.”

David Evans, President of the Aberdeen-Angus Cattle Society, said; “We’re innately proud of our much loved Aberdeen-Angus cattle as a breed that has worldwide recognition for its quality meat, this competition gives us the chance not only to celebrate our breed but celebrate the world class meat it produces.”

The recipe competition closes on 31st July.
